Dove Fields:

This year MPWL will have three dove management fields.  All three fields will be at the Little Sinkhole / Farland Lake marsh unit.  There will be two sunflower fields approximately 75 acres total size, located 1/2 mile south of 9th and Buckskin road, or 1.5 miles south and one mile east of Inman.  There will also be approximately 63 acres of burnt wheat stubble located at 11th and Arrowhead.  THIS WHEAT STUBBLE FIELD WILL BE OPEN TO YOUTH AND THEIR MENTORS ONLY ON OPENING DAY SEPTEMBER 1ST.  After opening day, it will be open to the public.

These fields have become very popular, and will likely be very crowded opening morning.  Please use good judgement on shot selection and make sure blue sky is visible between the bird and the ground.  By elevating shots, we can minimize the chance for accidents.  We want everyone to have an enjoyable time which includes going home at the end of the day.  Thank you.
